On The Young and the Restless, Chelsea is furious that she has to remain in the mental institution – now that she’s convinced a judge she’s too crazy to stand trial for trying to kill Rey. What kind of society puts a woman under psychiatric care after she has claimed to need psychiatric care? But is a hospital the best place for Chelsea? What 3,000 voters told us:
The Young and the Restless Polling: Sick In the Head
Only half of you, 46%, are with the courts on this one. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) may not be the kind of crazy she claimed to be in front of a judge, but, uhm, yeah, she’s still totes crazy. The woman faked being paralyzed because she suspected her fiance of cheating on her.
And she thought the best way to fix the situation would be to frame him for trying to kill the husband of the woman she thought he was cheating on her with. That’s – what’s the word for it – crazy. And Chelsea could use some serious help from licensed professionals.
Slam ‘Er
A smaller 36% of the audience isn’t so much of a bleeding heart. You don’t want Chelsea in a hospital, you want her in jail. She was wrong about Adam (Mark Grossman) cheating with Sharon (Sharon Case), and she could have killed Rey (Jordi Vilasuso)! Throw the book at her!
Freedom Fries
And then there are the 17% who don’t think Chelsea should be punished at all. Just like Chelsea keeps claiming, this is all Adam’s fault. He made her crazy. Or he made her pretend to be crazy. Or he drove her crazy enough to pretend to be crazy.
We’re not sure what exactly she’s trying to say. (The woman is crazy, after all.) But we’re sure she deserves to be reunited with her son. Let’s just hope Conner never dates somebody Mommy doesn’t approve of. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
