Chelsea became a widow, when her husband Adam was killed in an explosion. Since Adam’s abrupt death, Chelsea has been picking up the pieces of her shattered life and heart, while putting all her energy into their son, Connor on The Young and the Restless.

Yet, she remains a young, vibrant woman, who will eventually have to move on. And that means finding a new man, who will be a father figure to her little boy. But is it too soon for the move? Soap Hub asked Y&R fans to weigh in.

The Waiting Game
Move on?!? The bulk of you, some 70%, feel it’s way too soon to even pose this question. Adam’s (Justin Hartley) body is barely cold. He hasn’t been gone long enough for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to even think about moving forward–particularly in the direction of another man. She’s still grieving the one she lost and her heart belongs to him. Letting go of what they had too quickly would be totally disrespectful to everything Chelsea and Adam shared.

Time to Let Go
With Adam gone, Chelsea has to think about her and Connor’s future. So, 27% of fans are ready for her to move on. Chelsea has her whole life ahead her. The sooner she starts living it to the fullest, the better things will be for both her and her son. They both deserve another chance at happiness.

Hard to Imagine
The rest of you, a small 3%, are still grieving Adam’s loss. At the moment, you can’t imagine Chelsea being with–let alone even looking–at another man. Yet, you realize it’s a soap opera, and, inevitably, it’s the turn the story is going to have to take. So you’re trying to prepare yourself for it.
