The Young and the Restless fans are pretty certain of what they’re seeing unfold on their screens. Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are slowly inching their way back towards each other – whether they know it or not.
Sure, Sharon thinks she’s just being a responsible professional, helping Adam reclaim lost memories of having killed an evil loan shark to protect his blind mommy. But she sure is awfully emotionally involved in the process, isn’t she? As Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) pointed out: Most shrinks don’t hop on a private plane – mere days after enduring breast cancer surgery – to hightail it to Kansas to hold their patient’s hand.
Adam is madly in love with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). They keep telling each other how great they are, over and over again. That is, until one doesn’t agree with each other. This relationship was the bomb as long as they didn’t disagree on anything.
But, the minute Chelsea suggested she might not back up every impulse Adam has with pom-poms and sex, the minute she said she thought he shouldn’t be digging around in the past but looking forward to the future, suddenly Adam was running off, not telling Chelsea where he’s going, and leaning on Sharon for support instead of his fiancé.
Rey is the perfect match for Sharon. He is loving and supportive and even knocks before coming into their house in case she’s in the middle of something. Chelsea is the perfect match for Adam. They both have rather fluid morals and believe the world needs to stop spinning any time Conner (Judah Mackey) gets an owie.
Here’s the problem with perfect, though. Perfect is boring. Adam and Sharon are definitely not perfect for each other. And that’s what makes them more interesting. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
