Homeward Bound Hilary? Do Fans Want Her Back on The Young and the Restless?

On The Young and the Restless, Devon still can’t get over the death of his dearly beloved wife, Hilary. It’s been months, and he’s still all mopey.

This is very confusing for the folks of Genoa City, as they’re usually better at rolling with the punches when a loved one bites the dust.

Sure, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) went a bit nutso after Delia died, to the point where she had another baby just to replace her, and went after Adam and Victor (Eric Braeden) in revenge. But Delia was Chloe’s child. Children are different.

Spouses and loved ones, though. Eh, easy come, easy go. When was the last time Jack (Peter Bergman) mentioned the love of his life, Luan, mother of his equally ignored son, Keemo?

Did you even know that Victor had a five-minute marriage to a friend of Victoria’s named Sabrina, who died while pregnant with Victor’s child, and he wept and wept and vowed never to love again? Ahem.

And yet Devon (Bryton James) is still mourning Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Should she just return from the dead already? Here’s what almost 18,000 want.

Down To the Wire
It was a nail-biter, but, in the end, a smidge over 50% of you voted no. Sure, Devon is all sad but, let’s remember, Hilary was not a nice person.

Remember what she did to Mariah (Camryn Grimes)? To Neil (Kristoff St. John)? To Devon himself? You all don’t need or want her back.

Come Back
And then, a smidge under 50% of the audience voted yes. Hilary made things happen. Hilary was fun. Hilary was gorgeous. And, let’s not forget the most important part: If Hilary were to return, Devon could finally give up his position as the saddest man who ever sadded.

He might crack a smile, make some music, stop growling at people. That would be worth it.
