Here’s Who Adam Newman Really Is On The Young and the Restless

Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless
 Comments

Ever since Adam Newman returned to The Young and the Restless, viewers have seen completely different sides to the completely complicated youngest son of The Great Victor Newman.

The Young and the Restless: Mystery Man

He was a devoted father to Connor (Judah Mackey), puppy dog in love with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), settled fiancé with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), traumatized child, business partner to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and smug snarker to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). But who do viewers really want him to be? Here’s what you told us:

Wouldn’t Hurt a Fly

Nearly half of the audience, 54%, see Adam (Mark Grossman) as a flawed man who has been through more than most (even in Genoa City). He wants to be good, but life keeps getting in his way. Maybe once he feels more confident about his place in the Newman family and has settled on a co-parenting routine with Chelsea, he’ll be better at walking the straight and narrow.

Young and Restless Lover Boy

Adam is best as a romantic leading man, 37% of voters insist. When he dedicated himself to Chelsea, he did whatever he could to make sure they’d be a happy family together with Connor. And he is trying his best to do as Sharon asked and keep away from her. Which makes him even sexier.

Scheme and Scheme Alike

Adam is the most fun when he’s trying to win Daddy’s love, attention – and company. Just because Victor bought him his own company to play with doesn’t mean Adam should give up taking over the family business from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). When he’s good he’s good, but when he’s bad, he’s better, say 5%.

Young and Restless Odd Man Out

We miss the Adam who no Newman wanted anything to do with, 4% lament. He was much more interesting fighting for a piece of the pie – and respect – than he is now that he’s getting invited to Victoria’s wedding!
