As we approach the end of 2021, it becomes more and more obvious that some of The Young and the Restless characters are desperately in need of a meaningful storyline. Who should be given a front-burner storyline in 2022?

But who is the most deserving of this rather large lot? And who do fans believe should hit the front burner in 2022? How almost 2,000 viewers voted:
New Boy In Town
Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) has been back in Genoa City for weeks, 46% point out, but he has yet to do more than be cryptic about his past in London and make goo-goo eyes at Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) – the ex-girlfriend who is now in a relationship with his sister. This is not a story. This is pathetic. Make it better.
More Coffee, Young and the Restless Dear?
Does Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) live at the coffeehouse now, 29% of you wonder? She basically sits behind the counter, waiting for someone to come and ask her for advice. This is not a story. This is not a life. Make it better.

Grand Dame
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) used to be the key troublemaker in Genoa City. Then she became the key social maven. Now she…worries about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), worries about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), worries about Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow), worries about Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). She also supposedly works with Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle). And worries about her. Make it stop, 15% plead. Make it better.
Good Young and the Restless Doctor
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) invited Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to move in with him. This is the most action he’s had in months. We’re talking about a handsome, smart, sexy doctor from one of Genoa City’s core families. Surely, the show can find something more interesting for him to do, 6% wonder.
Lookalike
There’s more to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) than looking like Hilary, 4% advise. Now that her off-camera grandfather has been convicted of her off-camera father’s off-camera murder, maybe we can give her something to do…on camera.
