The Young and the Restless fandom let out a collective cheer last week when Eric Braeden took it upon himself to make the announcement that Doug Davidson was back on the show. One tweet of the actors together with Braeden saying, “He’s back!” was all it took.
Davidson confirmed the news and thanked his co-star for the official Newman Enterprises press release, but now the actor has revealed when we’ll finally see Paul doing his job at the GCPD once again.
Fans have been welcoming back the actor with tweets all week and when one fan asked when will he returns, Davidson wasn’t shy with an answer.
“March 25” is what he says and that’s what we’re going with. Perhaps it will take Paul to solve this nearly-year-long JT mystery. With a social media YR photo of Thad Luckinbill on the set yesterday, it looks like this forever-story might be coming to a close.
Paul has been missing from the scene for almost as long as JT has been missing, and towards the end of last summer, Davidson announced he had been dropped to recurring status early in 2018 and had no tape dates scheduled.
There’s no word on whether the actor’s return is a contract one or not, but Soap Hub will keep you informed as we know more.
