Doubting Abbotts: Will These The Young and the Restless Siblings Ever Make Up?

The Young and the Restless gave us all four Abbott siblings in the same room on Monday.

Unfortunately, Billy (Jason Thompson) spent most of the time accusing Ashley (Eileen Davidson) of trying to shove him into rehab for his gambling problem so that she could name Traci (Beth Maitland) CEO.

That would make it possible to get rid of the Blood Abbott Only clause, which Jack (Peter Bergman) used against Ashley before having it turned on himself.

So, yeah, not a lot of familial warmth, despite their fervent pleas that they were only doing this for Billy’s own good. And their happy selfies.

Will the Abbott siblings, who are getting more and more distant by the minute – both emotionally and biologically – ever reconcile? Over 4,000 fans made the below predictions.

Presumed Blood Is Thicker Than Real Blood
Jack, Ashley, and Traci grew up thinking they shared the same mother and father and, when Billy was born, despite their feelings about Jill (Jess Walton), he was welcomed into the family.

First, Dina (Marla Adams) confessed that Ashley was fathered by the Genoa City Country Club tennis pro. Then she slipped that Jack’s dad was some guy she met poolside. So, technically, Jack and Ashley aren’t related to Billy at all. Plus, there was the minor detail of Billy sleeping with Jack’s then-wife, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni).

Nevertheless, you can’t turn feelings on and off like a faucet, and 72% of you remain confident that the Abbotts – blood clause or no – will eventually stick together and reunite.

You Have To Move On
After the Phyllis incident, Jack was only putting up with Billy because he had to. Now that he doesn’t, 28% of the audience expects him to blow his “brother” off.

And since Eileen Davidson is leaving the show, obviously Ashley isn’t in a very forgive-and-forget mood. Sure, Traci loves everyone. But she doesn’t live in Genoa City. And Billy is systematically pushing everyone away. This family cannot be saved.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
