Will Nikki Newman’s Drinking Reveal a Horrible Memory?

Nikki Newman is in no way at fault for falling off the wagon on The Young and the Restless. She was literally drugged by Claire and her aunt Jordan. Now, she is fighting her addiction and she deserves all the love and support her family can give. But, it wasn’t always that way. Once upon a time, Nikki drank because it was her choice. And, she chose to drink and drive, too. Like on the night that little Delia Abbott was killed.

We Know What You Did Last Storyline

Delia’s death was tragic. Her mom, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), her dad, Billy (Jason Thompson), and then-stepmother Victoria (Amelia Heinle) still mourn the little girl. And, they know who killed her. It was Adam! Adam (Mark Grossman) found Delia’s scarf on his bumper, and he burned it, destroying the evidence because he knew he was guilty. But what if…. Pulling the Thread

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was also on the road that night, too. And, she wasn’t exactly in command of all of her faculties. We’re not saying Nikki is lying deliberately. Sure, she hates Adam and treats him horribly during Victor’s (Eric Braeden) latest “test” of his children. But, even we don’t think Nikki would go so far as to frame her stepson for a crime she committed.

It’s All Coming Back To Me

However, drunks tend to black out and forget things. Nikki could have forgotten running over Delia. Well, until now. Will her relapse bring back all sorts of memories? What if Nikki recalls being the one who killed Delia? (How did the girl’s scarf get on Adam’s bumper? We’ll worry about that later. For now, let’s just say…the wind did it.)

What if she first thinks that she’s just imagining things? But then, more and more keeps coming back to her. (Even to the point of remembering that she once had access to Delia’s scarf?) This most recent storyline, utilizing Victor’s history with Eve (Margaret Mason) has been a winner. More of that, please.
