On The Young and the Restless, January 12, Phyllis and Cane turn the tables on Victor. Newman Enterprises is under attack from within. This could be enough for Cane to bring back his Aristotle Dumas identity.

Key Takeaways

  • Newman Enterprises is vulnerable to attack.
  • Phyllis and Cane plan their next move.
  • Cane has already lost everything in his life.
  • Phyllis convinces him to bring back his Aristotle Dumas identity.

Flipping The Tables

At the Newman Ranch, Jack (Peter Bergman) asked Victor (Eric Braeden) for the AI software in exchange for Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), whom they have hostage. Then, at that moment, Victor received a message. He excused himself so he could handle that matter.

Later, Victor asked where Matt was. Jack informed him that Matt was with his security team until the exchange, which he hopes will happen soon. But Victor wasn’t willing to budge, especially since Matt was now their problem.

After he kicked them out, Victor immediately called his security team. He told them to follow the Abbotts’ vehicle and not to lose sight of Matt Clark. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wanted to know what was going on. She could tell there was something on her husband’s mind.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) walked through the door, wondering why she was called. Victor informed them that they were under attack. While the AI program wasn’t stolen, it has turned on them. It’s taking down Newman Enterprises.

Will Aristotle Dumas Come Back?

Aristotle Dumas was the elusive billionaire who stole other people’s businesses and properties. He was ruthless and self-assured. And Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wants that man to come back.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis is on a high after confronting Billy (Jason Thompson). She could tell they were headed for great things. She asked Cane (Billy Flynn) to set the AI program loose on Newman Enterprises.

Cane asked her if this was what she truly wanted. Everything was about to change. They were stealing Newman Enterprises away from Victor. But she wanted to make sure that this was also what Cane wanted.

Cane felt he had no choice in this matter. He lost his kids and ex-wife. Lily (Christel Khalil) isn’t around to rein him in or be the angel on his shoulder. So understandably, Cane is agreeable about reviving the Dumas identity. Even though that’s what got him into this mess in the first place. Is that what will happen here?
