Why Victor is to Blame for Billy and Kyle’s Mama Drama on Young and the Restless

Billy and Kyle are going through it. Both men lost their corporate jobs on The Young and the Restless. They blame their moms for what happened. But who they should really blame is Victor.

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) have more in common than they’d like to admit. Kyle learned at Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon’s (Bryton James) wedding that he no longer has a job with Glissade. His mom, Diane (Susan Walters), snatched it from underneath him. She made the stunning reveal during the 13,000th episode. 

Kyle isn’t the only one who lost out on a top job. Billy recently lost his job as CEO of Chancellor Industries. His mother, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), sold the company to Victor (Eric Braeden). He immediately removed Billy from his position because of his reckless behavior. 

Victor doesn’t think Billy has any business running the company. Jill agreed with his controversial decision. Victor caused a wedge between Billy and his mom, and he’s doing the same with Kyle and his mom.

Mommy Dearest

Kyle regrets having his mom back from the dead. He wishes he had never known her. Kyle uttered those cruel words to Diane, even if she deserved it at the moment. (Did Kyle really mean his recent apology?)

What he doesn’t realize is that Victor is causing their strained relationship. He’s still out for blood. Victor is desperate to get revenge on Jack (Peter Bergman). Diane agreed to work with Victor, but he has no idea that she’s really working against him.

Jack and Diane’s marital problems were all part of an elaborate scheme. In the meantime, Victor is waging war on all the Abbotts. He doesn’t care how many familial relationships he’ll ruin. He will take them all down to end up at the top. What a great way for Kyle and Billy to team up to take Victor down. They have a good reason to.
