On The Young and the Restless, December 4, Matt Clark has lost his mind. He tried to chase Noah and Sienna, which could’ve led to another tragic crash. Thankfully, the scorned lovers were able to escape him. But that won’t be the last time they encounter him.

Key Takeaways

  • Matt had a breakdown as he closed in on Noah and Sienna.
  • He received a screenshot from Victor that showed the AI was taking over his system.
  • Matt warned that this wouldn’t be the last time they saw him.

Matt’s Mental Breakdown

The truth finally came out on the December 4 episode. He might not claim to be Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), but he’s certainly acting like him lately. Victor (Eric Braeden) revealed that he had a secret weapon that could wipe out Matt’s assets with a single command. He was able to get Matt to release Noah (Lucas Adams).

Back in the storage room, Matt erupted at Noah and Sienna (Tamara Braun). He revealed all of his twisted and dark secrets, which included a drug problem and a corrupt detective. Noah tried to knock Matt off his game when he wasn’t looking. Matt made it easy for Noah since he was already crashing out.

Noah and Sienna were able to escape. They went to The Shadow Room to obtain evidence and cash. Then, they jumped into Sienna’s car, as Matt closely tailed them behind. But he was distracted by an AI-related notification on his phone. Matt spiraled as he learned that they escaped.

Not The End?

This storyline revealed that the drama in Los Angeles has come to an end. Sienna might follow Noah to Genoa City. But that doesn’t mean the horror is behind them.

When Matt drove off, he warned that this wasn’t over. It was previously assumed that Howarth’s role on Y&R would be short-lived. Of course, the character wasn’t supposed to be redeemed after coming back from the dead.

Still, Matt claims he’s Mitch Bacall. He doesn’t know who this “Matt Clark” is that everyone’s talking about. Does Matt Clark have a twin brother? According to his warning, this won’t be the last time that viewers have seen of Howarth or his dark ways.

There will be more twists in this storyline, which may be put on hold for the holidays. The terror could likely follow Sienna and Noah all the way to Genoa City, assuming that is where Sienna is headed.
