Billy is embarking on a new relationship with Sally on The Young and the Restless. However, he might find himself entangled with Phyllis once again.
Love Triangle Incoming
The Winter 2025 previews for Y&R teased a love triangle for one of GC’s newest romances. Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson) have grown closer. But it might get disrupted by Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She’s the loneliest woman in Genoa City. Phyllis hasn’t had much luck in the love department lately. Both Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Danny (Michael Damian) rejected her. Ouch.
She’s been coming around to Billy lately. She was desperate to work with him. Phyllis also understands Billy. Both of them are outsiders. She hoped they would become friends again. Billy has been slowly coming around to Phyllis. But it’s unclear whether their relationship will take another turn. Phyllis could interrupt Billy’s blossoming romance with Sally because of her jealousy.

Greatest Romances
No matter what happens, Y&R viewers will revisit Billy’s relationship with Phyllis at some point. This poses the question of who Billy loves most of all. He’s had some wonderful relationships and steamy affairs. Unfortunately, most of them have been torn apart by his compulsive gambling and wicked ways.
Billy and Phyllis were a toxic pair. He slept with her when she married Jack (Peter Bergman), and Phyllis had an affair with Nick (Joshua Morrow) when she was with Billy. This tempestuous affair destroyed Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding to Nick. Sharon left Nick at the altar when she found out what happened.
Then there’s the complication that Billy slept with Phyllis’ daughter, Summer (who was then played by Hunter King). That’s a moment that everyone wants to forget. The jury is still out on who the greatest love of Billy’s life is. Is it Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Phyllis, or Sally? Is Billy capable of love? His relationship with Chelsea could’ve worked out, but the show loves her with Adam (Mark Grossman).
