Mariah has been through a lot on The Young and the Restless. She struggled with her past trauma from Ian Ward, which caused her to nearly kill an older man and snatch Devon and Abby’s son.

Now, she has to deal with the repercussions in the upcoming trial. Sharon shared concerning news about her daughter with Chelsea earlier this week. And next week’s preview teases that Mariah will need a solid support system to get through this.

Key Takeaways

  • Sharon told Chelsea that Mariah has been isolating herself despite seeing the best therapist in Genoa City.
  • In next week’s Y&R preview, Christine comes to Sharon for help.
  • There aren’t many people in Mariah’s inner circle who could help her, which could have her regressing once again.

Sharon’s Concerning Update About Mariah

On Monday’s episode, Sharon (Sharon Case) spoke with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) at Crimson Lights. The two confided in each other about their concerns about Adam (Mark Grossman) and their respective families.

The conversation shifted to Mariah’s (Camry Grimes) well-being. She’s currently under house arrest while awaiting trial. Sharon shared that Mariah has been working with a reputable therapist.

However, she’s been isolating herself from her friends and family. Chelsea told her to be patient. Her son, Connor (Judah Mackey), struggled with similar challenges and is doing much better now.

But things could get even worse before they get better. In the Y&R preview for next week, Christine (Lauralee Bell) reaches out to Sharon. She tells her that she needs help with her daughter. What’s going on with Mariah now?

Who Will Be Mariah’s Support System?

Sharon’s goal is to help Mariah get her life and marriage back on track. She made that clear to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). But Tessa is unlikely to want to help since she can’t wait for Mariah to heal again.

She has to focus on her priorities, like Aria and finding love again. Tessa found that with Daniel (Michael Graziadei). So, it’s unlikely that Tessa will become Mariah’s support system anytime soon.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) also offers Mariah the fatherly support she needs. He’s in Vegas with Adam while simultaneously struggling with an addiction to painkillers. His outbursts and unpredictable behavior are the last things that Mariah needs right now in her recovery process.

She also won’t find support from Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James), who probably want nothing to do with her after snatching Dom (Ethan Ray Clark) away from them. So, she will likely have to rely on Sharon and Christine for support during the loneliest and hardest time of her life, as she awaits her fate.
