Who Else Could Use an Intervention on The Young and the Restless?

The Newman family ganged up on Victoria Newman Locke to stage a Young and the Restless intervention that would tear her away from Ashland Locke. But she’s not the only person in Genoa City who could use a bit of tough love…and a reality check. Here are some other candidates for a stern talking-to.

The Young and the Restless: The Parent Trap

Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) got her husband to finally commit to therapy, so that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) can work through his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

That’s good. Now it’s time for her to turn to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and find out why he’s suddenly so obsessed with the baby he originally agreed merely to father — then stay away from.

Devon’s mother abandoned him — after years of him living in an unstable home with a mentally disturbed woman. Obviously, this is affecting how he sees a sick Chance interacting with Dominic. Maybe Devon could use some therapy to work through those issues, too? An intervention to make him admit that.

Y&R: Talk To Me

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) claims he is totes fine with losing his co-CEO position and, instead, now reporting to his Young and the Restless girlfriend. Yeah, he’s so fine that he can’t sleep at night and feels compelled to babble his every thought on a podcast to total strangers. How about an intervention where he admits he has a problem? And it’s his resentment of Lily Winters’s (Christel Khalil) new position that is keeping him up at night.

And, finally, how about an intervention for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) about how she is worth much, much more than just sitting by quietly while Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) wonders about who he wants to be when he grows up. While Nate considers various career changes, Elena is forced to nod affirmatively and stand by her man. She can do better. Someone should tell her that.
