Summer feels that something is wrong with Phyllis. The Young and the Restless concluded Phyllis and Sharon’s kidnapping. Chance, Nick, and Billy rescued them. However, Summer feels that Phyllis’s nightmare isn’t over just yet. Could she be right? Or is she pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes?
Super Girl Is On The Case
Summer’s (Allison Lanier) spidey instincts are kicking in. At the end of the Wednesday, March 19 episode, she told Nick (Joshua Morrow) that she thinks something is wrong with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She doesn’t believe that her mom is out of the woods even though she has been rescued. This suggests that Super Girl will be on the case. When Summer feels unsettled, she doesn’t let that idea go.
We’ve already seen how she acts around Claire (Hayley Erin). Summer hones onto those instincts and doesn’t let them go. She feels that Phyllis isn’t fine after her kidnapping. She just wants to move on to the next thing in her life. Phyllis was quick to join Billy (Jason Thompson) in their business deal. She was disappointed to find out that he started without her.

What Could Be Wrong?
There are many possibilities for what could be wrong with Phyllis. For one, she could be in denial over what happened. It’s as if she wants to move on with her life. Phyllis has dealt with a lot in the past few years. However, she seems to move on, not allowing herself to process what happened. Either she moves on to the next man or the next business deal. This is her way of coping and getting over the trauma she dealt with.
There’s also the possibility that Phyllis could be headed for a mental breakdown. Summer knows her better than anyone else does. Phyllis could suffer the same struggles that Sharon (Sharon Case). Yet, Nick can’t seem to see the warning signs when it comes to either of his exes. How many times has he assumed that Sharon was fine even though she wasn’t? Something tells us he should listen to Super Girl this time.
There’s also the case that this could be nothing. Summer could be trying to get her parents back together. She might not like the idea of Sharon and Nick growing close. Summer did the same thing with Claire and Kyle (Michael Mealor). She tried to put a wedge in their relationship by dumping her problems onto Kyle. We’re interested in finding out whether Summer is right or wrong about her mom.
