The Young and the Restless newbie Claire Grace has been a little girl lost her entire life. First, Aunt Jordan told her she really did have a mommy and daddy — but they didn’t want her. She then groomed the child to hate her “real” family and plot their downfall with her. Claire didn’t know love — but now that she’s passed her DNA test, she finally has a chance at feeling familial love. Or does she?
What we do know is that Cole (J. Eddie Peck) headed back to the lake house to retrieve her DNA. What he took tested with 97% certainty to be his and Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) child. They will now welcome her into their life, and they will try to give her the love she was denied her whole life. (Read about the reveal here.)
Claire (Hayley Erin) will have a long recovery program. She will start the process of assimilating into the Newman family. It will be rough going. Nick (Joshua Morrow), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victor (Eric Braeden) will be hard to win over — considering all that she put them through in the past. Victoria will, of course, insist that they get past that. Her daughter didn’t know that her parents truly wanted her.
So what happens when Claire is finally accepted into the bosom of her “new” family? She will start to blossom, the incredible and smart young woman will move forward, confident and full of possibility. But what if that’s when Aunt Jordan drops another bomb — she DID lie, and not only that, she manipulated the DNA report? It would certainly be in her wheelhouse, as she has proven the ability to sneak in as a nurse to wherever she wants. Is Claire headed for another fall? And if that does happen, will Victoria, Cole, and the rest of the Newmans drop her like a hot potato?
