Not once but twice, we have asked how The Young and the Restless can let a goddess like Mishael Morgan leave the cast, most recently as Amber Sinclair. Sure, Hilary was an awful, spiteful, unpleasant person. But Morgan gave her what ounce of humanity she had. Nonetheless, the show killed her off. And not in a plane crash off-screen, but right there, in front of a grieving Devon.
Amanda Sinclair Is Back On The Young and the Restless
The second time, at least, they let Amanda, Hilary’s much more likable twin, simply leave town. But this was right after Morgan became the first black woman to win the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress. What is wrong with them?
Y&R: So Nice To Have You Back Where You Belong
At least, this way, Amanda can still pop back in for visits. And, boy, were we happy to see her stride in with Lily (Christel Khalil) to let Devon (Bryton James) know whom he’d be facing in court. Take that, you cheating cheater who cheats!
In the Boardroom, Amanda Sinclair Takes Charge
Round One of arbitration easily went to Amanda, as she wiped the floor with Devon and Christine (Lauralee Bell). The hot-shot lawyer who dreamt up such a good contract for Abby (Melissa Ordway) that Devon — with Amanda’s help — was able to get parental rights to Dominic, which, inadvertently, led to Devon sleeping with Abby. And Amanda walking in on them. So take that, Devon and Christine!
Young and the Restless Bedroom Future For Amanda Sinclair
Now we just need for Amanda to seduce Devon and to have Abby walk in. After Abby takes off with Devon’s precious baby boy, Amanda can read Devon for filth, inform him that they are never, ever getting back together, then make sure he loses his company to Lily (Christel Kahlil) and Jill (Jess Walton).
That is an excellent revenge plot…to start with. Amanda’s mother ought to be all better by now. Amanda can return to Genoa City. And really let the people who hurt her have it. Let this just be the beginning.
