Victoria Newman Should Be Tossed Out As CEO On Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless keeping Victoria Newman on as CEO at Newman Enterprises after the colossal mistake she made and the amount of money she cost her family makes no sense.

Young and the Restless Hypocrisy

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) harped on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for failing to recognize an issue with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but he isn’t holding his daughter Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to the same standards. Apparently, Adam’s failure to realize “Billy Boy” was faking his spiral into despair was enough for Victor to lose faith in his son despite the fact that Adam never actually went through with anything damaging.

However, Victoria married Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), giving him the keys to the kingdom, and didn’t notice a little thing like he FAKED HIS CANCER! Apparently, that isn’t enough to make Victor lose trust in her, though. After all, she was the victim of big bad Ashland while Adam should’ve known better than to trust his own eyes where Billy was concerned.

Under Pressure

No wonder Adam is losing patience with his supposedly new and improved position within the Young and the Restless Newman family. He’s done everything they’ve asked, and yet, he’s still treated as if he’s the red-headed stepchild nobody loves. The truth is, Victor should hold Victoria to the same standard to which he’s holding Adam.

Sure, Victoria is vulnerable and had her heart broken, but business is business. He should insist that she take some time to recover from everything instead of allowing her to call the shots at Newman Enterprises. Because he’s not, Victor clearly shows Adam and everybody else that he prefers his daughter over his younger son. How is Adam supposed to react to that?

Plus, there’s the fact that Victoria hasn’t firmly pushed Ashland out of her life, which means the empire could still be in danger. While Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) stepping in as co-CEO may help alleviate some of Victor’s worries about Victoria, it’s still unfair to Adam. We wouldn’t blame him if he went out and did something vengeful. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
