Victoria Has A Young and the Restless Plan, But Will Ashland Buy It?

On The Young and the Restless, Victoria Newman Locke was devastated to learn that Ashland Locke probably never really loved her at all. She felt like the weakest link, but now she’s perhaps ready for some sweet revenge.

Obviously, Ashland (Robert Newman) expects some fallout from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) revealing information that proved he faked his cancer. While Ashland continues to insist he’s been set up, nobody is buying that — except maybe Victoria (Amelia Heinle). At least that’s what she’s leading Ashland to believe, but behind his back, she insists that she knows what she’s doing and has a plan.

However, Victoria doesn’t want to include her powerful Newman family in her plan, which may just be the key to ensuring her dirty-dealing husband buys the whole thing. Instead, she wants everybody to trust that she knows what she’s doing, which is a pretty big task for the Newmans. For whatever Victoria is planning to succeed, Ashland needs to believe that she’s willing to overlook the whole thing and buy his story of being set up.

If Victoria includes her family in her plan on The Young and the Restless, that’s more people to potentially slip up. In fact, she actually needs Victor, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and the rest of the family to act outraged and concerned about her because if she’s pulling the wool over Ashland’s eyes, it has to seem real. What better way for things to seem real than the Newmans freaking out?

Of course, Ashland hasn’t survived as long as he has with as many misdeeds as he’s done without being incredibly savvy and underhanded. There’s a good chance Ashland realizes that Victoria is double-crossing him (if she even truly is), which could leave her in danger — especially if they do travel to Italy as Victoria suggested.
