The Young and the Restless Ruined Adam And Sally, And For What?

For a while, Adam Newman and Sally Spectra were the hottest thing going on The Young and the Restless. Adam had finally found his match — a woman who loved and supported him exactly as he was. Sally brought out the best in Adam, and he also gave her what seemed like unconditional love.

Why Did The Young and the Restless Ruin Sally And Adam?

We know that couples must have some strife on soap operas lest they run the risk of being “boring.” However, it seems as if Y&R broke Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) up for no reason in the end. Sure, Adam started going down a dark road, but it seems as if his ex-wife Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), of all people, talked some sense into him.

While it’s not entirely a given that Adam won’t have another change of heart and continue going after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the rest of the Newman family if that’s the way this continues, then why did the soap break up Adam and Sally? To give Adam and Chelsea another shot? To have drama? To have Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam go after the same woman…again?

Ultimately, this breakup doesn’t make sense. We understood it slightly when Adam was plotting something, but now that he’s supposedly not headed back down that dark path again, we would really love to see “Salad” back on our screens. These two were too perfect for each other, and now that they’ve had their drama, we’re ready to see them reunite.
