Greg Rikaart — Y&R Performer of the Week
This week Kevin showed up to help Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) hunt down some clues related to Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death. Although the situation was serious, Rikaart infused it with a bit of levity as well. For instance, we adored how he infused Kevin’s facial expressions and body language with such excitement when he declared himself Chance’s sidekick for the time being.
Actor Connor Floyd also appreciated the interactions between Chance and Kevin on-screen this week. “That’s a fun partnership,” Floyd said. “[Greg’s] a great actor. He definitely brings this kind of comedic timing, which is fun.”
The light-hearted moments that Rikaart infuses into Kevin’s scenes really bring a breath of fresh air and fun to the soap. Even though many times the dialogue that Kevin says is serious, Rikaart creates some fun through his on-screen alter ego’s over-the-top expressions and movements that enliven things and bring a different energy to the set that’s enjoyable and memorable to watch.
Bravo, Greg Rikaart, on an excellent performance as Kevin Fisher this week!
