The Young and the Restless viewers know that Michael Baldwin is an ace attorney who does what it takes to win his cases. So when he approached Amanda Sinclair about testifying against Sutton, we loved seeing him all his legal eagle glory. For that, Soap Hub presents Performer of the Week honors for Y&R on Michael’s portrayer, Christian LeBlanc.

We enjoyed seeing Michael talking to Amanda (Mishael Morgan) about her grandfather’s case. He created a convincing enough argument to get Amanda to sign on for the grueling days-long testimony.
We especially appreciated how convincingly LeBlanc was as he reminded Amanda about her sister Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) celebrity. Nearly everybody on the upcoming jury knew Hilary because of GC Buzz. Michael plans to manipulate the jury’s feelings using Hilary. In that scene, we saw how good LeBlanc is at bringing out the nuances of the character he’s portrayed for 30 years this December on The Young and the Restless. We enjoyed seeing him doing his thing while keeping a slight edge. In the end, no matter which side he’s on, Michael does what it takes to win.

Christian LeBlanc’s stellar performance almost makes us look forward to watching as Amanda gets justice for her father’s death and takes down Sutton. Almost. Of course, that is, if Y&R doesn’t do this storyline off-screen.
We haven’t had as many opportunities as we’d like to see Michael in action since he took over as DA. Because of that, we’re looking forward to seeing how he runs a trial from the side of the prosecution. Presumably, we will see quite a bit more of Michael in Genoa City doing what he does best as the District Attorney in the coming weeks and months.
