The Young and the Restless viewers know that Victoria Newman Locke will do whatever it takes to prove that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the business world. However, she’s also deeply in love with her business partner and new husband, Ashland Locke who may be playing her for a fool. This week, Victoria firmly told her whole family to butt out, and for her performance, Soap Hub Performer of the Week honors for Y&R is presented to Victoria’s portrayer, Amelia Heinle.

Amelia Heinle — Performer of the Week

Victoria certainly has a way of making viewers want her to get her comeuppance, and this week, Heinle really turned on the smugness that will only make Victoria’s downfall all the sweeter for everyone except maybe her brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), her father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and her mother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). One person who may cheer, though, is her other brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

When Victor tasked Adam with keeping Victoria out of his way while he confronted Ashland (Robert Newman) about faking his cancer, Heinle certainly showcased her acting chops when Victoria showed her meddlesome brother just how much he annoyed her.

If there’s a Daytime Emmy Award for clicking pens in frustration while listening to trumped-up ideas, then Amelia Heinle will absolutely take home the statue. The scene between Victoria and Adam and Newman Media was perhaps one of the funniest of the week. While Adam desperately tried to keep his sister there, Victoria did everything she could to get away.

Throughout the week, the actress also expertly showed Victoria’s confusion as she realized that something was going on that she didn’t know about. She resisted suspecting her husband, but obviously, her spidey senses were piqued. Amelia Heinle brilliantly showcased the emotions that her on-screen alter ego dealt with as the walls started closing in on her personal life. Bravo!
