Nick Newman has spent most of his adult life on The Young and the Restless in love with Sharon Collins (now, Sharon Rosales). Alas, it didn’t work out (over and over) and they are with different people now.
Young and the Restless — A Shick In Time
Y&R spoilers hints Nick will soon tell Phyllis Summers he wants more, but something tells us those sweet moments at Crimson Lights with his ex are going to open Nick to a world of feelings he thought he suppressed.
The question is, can the CBS soap really rewind and put Sharon (Sharon Case) back in Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) arms? Or, has that ship sailed? There is no argument Sharon and Nick loved each other more than they ever loved anyone else; there’s also no argument they also caused each other incredible amounts of emotional turmoil. Cheating, lies, deceit, and betrayal run deep with these two.
Y&R: Drama, Disaster, or Destiny?
Just look at poor Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) unfortunate upbringing. She bounced between her parents, ended up at the Ranch at one time to escape their fighting, and even opted for boarding school to get away. It’s a wonder Faith came out of this anything in the neighborhood of well-adjusted.
What’s a little drama between soulmates, though? Currently, Sharon is in a lackluster marriage to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) that’s going nowhere. The pair barely get along, they are off more than on, and her “friendship” with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) keeps getting between them.
As for Nick, his hot and heavy lusty liaison with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is great and all but it, too, is falling flat. He has a whole big mansion to offer up as their playground but they keep holing themselves up in her little hotel room all but ignoring he has a son at home. Has Phyllis ever even asked about Christian in the past few months?
Young and the Restless: The Right Stuff
Perhaps it is time to revive Shick if only for the family life. Faith is still at home, the couple could raise Christian (and the boy would finally get some attention from his dad), and they could truly move towards a new chapter in their lives. If they can get it right this time, that is – and we all know that’s a big stretch.
