On The Young and the Restless, March 17, Victor used Patty Williams to snatch Jack and seduce him. This is a new low, even for The Mustache.

Key Takeaways

  • By using the woman who has stalked, shot, and obsessed over Jack for decades, Victor moved past a simple business rivalry into psychological warfare.
  • By weaponizing an unstable woman from Jack’s past, Victor found the line that Nikki cannot cross.
  • Nikki’s decision to expose Victor’s cruelty suggests that their power-couple status has reached a point of no return.

Victor Defends His Empire

At the Newman Ranch, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) carried on with their argument. Victor claimed he was protecting his empire. Nikki pointed out that he enlisted a woman who killed Traci’s daughter, Colleen, to torment Jack.

She called out Victor’s psychological warfare. He proved in that moment that he hasn’t changed. Victor’s still willing to go back to his cruel ways and doesn’t care whether his family is on board or not.

Nikki Should Send a Loud Message

Nikki should make the call to move out and live with her daughter, Victoria (Amelia Heinle). By this point, she’s been a buffer for Victor’s most ruthless schemes, but his decision to use a woman like Patty (Stacy Haiduk) against the Abbotts is a bridge too far.

By moving in with Victoria, Nikki wouldn’t just have a solid roof over her head. She’d staged a silent protest against a version of Victor who was unrecognizable to her. This could send the loudest message possible.

The Newman ranch isn’t a source of protection. It’s now a prison. Victor always claims his darkest deeds are to keep his family safe. But he’s alienated his wife.

What’s Going On With Victor?

Victor has proven that his obsession with winning could leave him utterly alone. A stay at Victoria’s might be the wake-up call strong enough to make Victor realize that his empire isn’t worth it if the woman he built it for can’t stand to look at him.

The question still remains: Is Victor losing his edge? Or has he finally become the villain Nikki can no longer defend? She should take him on his opportunity and show herself out.

Nikki refusing to go along with Victor’s kidnapping plot suggests the Newman marriage isn’t just cracked; it’s shattered. The cracks have started to appear over the last year or so, and finally, it’s about to end.
