On The Young and the Restless, March 13, Jack crosses a line that he can’t come back from. He goes all the way with Patty, while Diane searches desperately for him with Billy and Kyle. But Jack is in a desperate situation as well. He thinks he can seduce Patty, so he can get off the yacht. But he could find himself in deeper trouble.

Key Takeaways

  • Jack is desperate after finding himself alone on the yacht with Patty.
  • He gave in to Patty, who wants more than just a kiss.
  • Jack will have to explain his recent actions to Diane, who goes back to the dark side.

Jack Wants Off the Yacht

Onboard the yacht, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Patty (Stacy Haiduk) concluded their tour. Patty noticed how romantic it looked outside. It’s dark, and the stars are out. She noticed that it was just two of them on the yacht.

But Jack found himself in a desperate situation. He wanted to know where their cell phones went. Patty believed they were tucked away safely. She claimed that everyone is addicted to their devices these days.

People need connection. And Patty wanted to connect with Jack. She mentioned that a man who dropped her off said that he would pick her up in a few days. Jack then wondered whether he had been left for dead.

Patty Seduces Jack

The two then made sleeping arrangements. He told her that she could have the firmer mattress, which he would trade for an immediate trip to the shore. Patty noticed that Jack’s sparkle was gone. She wanted to know where it went.

Jack realized he had to sweeten her up. He told her that she was more beautiful than ever before, but he wanted to get off the boat first. Suddenly, it got hot in the cabin, and Patty suggested they should remove their clothes.

Jack wondered if something they ate was making them hot. Suddenly, Jack noticed how attractive Patty is. But he reminded her that he was married. Eventually, Jack gave in and did what Patty wanted.

Will Diane Go Back to the Dark Side?

Jack told Patty that he was married to Diane (Susan Walters). But she claimed that there were no rules on the water. She’s confident that they’ll be safe because Diane would never find out what they did.

Once again, Patty finds herself as the other woman. This is reminiscent of when Jack slept with Patty on the night of his wedding to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). But Patty doesn’t care. All she wants is Jack.

Jack’s betrayal threatens to push Diane back to the dark side. Their marriage remained rock-solid through the Abbott Mansion renovations, but finding out about Patty might be the breaking point. This could be the final straw that ends Diane’s role of the “nice” Abbott wife.

Is This What Victor Wanted?

Maybe this is what Victor wanted all along: for Jack to ruin his own marriage. He never trusted Jack around Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and now he’s ensuring his arch nemesis suffers the same turmoil he has. (Y&R fans pitch a wild twist: what if Victor became the kidnapping victim for once?).

Victor (Eric Braeden) wants Diane to feel the same betrayal he felt every time he saw Jack lingering around his wife. This was the true goal of his kidnapping plot.
