On The Young and the Restless, October 28, Billy punched out Adam, who got snarky with him. However, he claims that he’s a changed man these days. But is he right?
Key Takeaways
- Adam taunted Billy.
- Billy lost his temper and punched Adam.
- Despite getting punched out, Adam feels that he’s changed.
Adam Had It Coming
Adam (Mark Grossman) hasn’t dropped his feud with Billy (Jason Thompson). He couldn’t resist. Adam had to push his buttons on Tuesday’s episode.
The two were at the bar at GCAC. Adam wanted to know whether Billy dropped Abbott Communications. Billy said he gave the CEO position to Sally (Courtney Hope).
But Adam wondered whether he made Sally CEO because Billy couldn’t handle the job. Plus, she deserves better than being tied to Billy.
Adam got cocky as he declared that Abbott Communications would fail since it couldn’t stand up to Newman Media, the top company in Genoa City. Then, he noted that Jill (Jess Walton) has more faith in Cane (Billy Flynn) than her biological son.
Billy warned Adam to keep Jill’s name out of his mouth. But that didn’t stop Adam. He told Billy to leave town so that no one would get secondhand embarrassment from his latest failure.
Billy lost his cool and punched Adam in the jaw. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) walked into and wondered what was going on. But thanks to Chelsea, Adam didn’t poke the bear any further.
Has He Changed?
Billy believed the punch was payback. In his conversation with Chelsea, Adam admitted that he deserved it. He admitted that he enjoyed prodding Billy.
Also, there was something else even more shocking. Adam felt sorry for Billy. He thinks Billy is getting the short end of the stick.
Chelsea was proud of Adam for admitting his faults. He also empathized with his fellow rival. This proved that he has changed for the better.
Adam credited Chelsea for helping him change. However, he might not have changed after all. The Newman Media CEO still took things too far with Billy.
He also made jabs at Abbott Communications for a good reason. He knows that it’s being fully run by Sally. As a result, Adam was making jabs at Sally, not Billy, because he couldn’t let it go. (See why Sally’s gamble on Audra tests more than business.)
Adam wouldn’t dare say those words in front of Sally. He’s using Billy as a punching bag, and it’s he who got suckerpunched. Adam hasn’t necessarily been redeemed. He still has a lot of work to do, despite admitting his faults.
