It’s weird not to have Connor Newman around for Christmas on The Young and the Restless. Chelsea was usually all about her son, especially around the holidays. We know she just visited him. But what kind of school doesn’t send a kid home for Winter Break? Luckily, we have Connor’s email to Chelsea to fill us in on what he’s been up to.
From The Desk of Connor Newman: Dear Mom
Thanks again, so much for agreeing to send me to this terrific school. I know that when I lived in Genoa City, you always wanted to know how I was feeling. And, not just you. Dad also always wanted to know how I was feeling. You even got Billy to chime in! Even Johnny quickly understood that finding out you were his biological mother was less about him than it was about me.
But, at this school, it’s even better! Everyone is always asking about me. My teachers, my therapist, the custodial staff. I know you’re paying for this level of attention and that it’s exactly what the school promised in its brochure so that busy parents can outsource their responsibilities to somebody else. That’s why I insisted on coming. But, I wanted you to know that you made the right choice. For me.
Around the Town
I read online that Aunt Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Uncle Nick (Joshua Morrow), Grandpa Victor (Eric Braeden), and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) — who likes me a lot more than she likes dad, which makes total sense to me — just went through a horrible kidnapping and they all almost died. Also, they found out that Aunt Victoria’s daughter is still alive.
That makes her my cousin, right? I don’t know how I feel about having a new cousin. This might be as traumatic as finding out about Johnny. What does it mean? For me?
