Chelsea and Adam broke the news to Connor that they were getting back together on the March 27 episode of The Young and the Restless. Connor was delighted that they would be a “real family” again. (Who knew this young kid was such an old fuddy-duddy on the inside?) But he also gave himself away with a simple slip, proving that this has been his plan all along.
The Man of the Hour
Before Connor (Judah Mackey) gave his father and mother his papal blessing for their renewed relationship – after faking them out by pretending to be grim before flashing a “Nah, just kidding” grin – he first asked them if Victor (Eric Braeden) was alright. He didn’t ask about his siblings or any other relatives. When told that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) had something serious to discuss with him, Connor knew it could only be about Victor. Because, everything is about Victor, after all. And Connor is Victor’s grandson.

Smart Guy
When Connor said that he suspected his parents were on their way to getting back together, they showered him with effusive praise about how smart he was, how intuitive, how amazing, how, well, how Precious Connor. But while they were tripping over themselves to remind Connor that he was the most amazing child who ever walked the earth, Chelsea and Adam failed to pick up on the clue Connor dropped for them.
Connor knows Victor is the center of the universe. Connor is Victor’s grandson. He’s figured out that making himself the center of the universe is the way to get whatever he wants. Victor makes everything about him. Connor makes everything about him. And now, he has what he wants. Just like Victor. His grandpa is a monster. And now Connor has confirmed he is too. The apple certainly didn’t fall far from this family tree.
