The Young and the Restless Michael Lauren
On The Young and the Restless, Michael Baldwin recently retired. His reason? To spend more time with his loving wife Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. She approved, and then, Michael went to work for Victor Newman, jetted off to Peru, and got in trouble. If he’s found alive, Michael will have quite a problem on his hands once Lauren knows he’s safe and sound.
Right now, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) is furious. She’s mad at Victor (Eric Braeden), she’s (probably) mad at Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), and she’s even mad at Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) because…reasons. But, the reality she’ll have to face if Michael is ever found safely is that she’s the angriest at her husband, Michael (Christian Le Blanc).
Michael knew the risks of working for Victor, and instead of doing what he promised Lauren — spending more time together — he jumped right back into the thick of the drama with his old Young and the Restless employer. Lauren knew it was a bad idea. Hell, even Michael knew it wasn’t a great idea, but he couldn’t help himself.
Right now, all Lauren wants is Michael back in Genoa City safe and sound. However, if she gets her wish, and he returns, this couple has quite a lot of soul searching to do. The fact that Michael did Victor’s bidding against Lauren’s wishes will have to be reckoned with eventually.
It’s possible that they could find themselves needing to break up. Lauren might even issue her drama-loving husband an ultimatum — Victor or me. Although they love each other dearly and breaking up is hard to do, they might find this an irreconcilable difference. That would be a tragedy, especially given the relative longevity of their marriage.
