Chelsea and Adam are moving quickly on The Young and the Restless. They’re already living together. Yet, they don’t want to label their relationship. Could this backfire?
How It Could Work
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) aren’t back together, but they sure act like they are. They ended up together after Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson) dumped them. The two have been inseparable ever since. But that’s because they want their son Connor (Judah Mackey) to be happy. His mental health and emotional well-being are their utmost concern at the moment.
This is a big reason why they moved in together. Adam and Chelsea wanted to have a fresh start with their son after all he’s been through. But it makes it like they’re back together. Yet, they’re not labeling their relationship. This could work since there are no expectations. Chelse and Adam haven’t been romantic since their passionate night together. Their relationship never works when there’s romance and commitment involved. The two are self-aware to know they butt heads and don’t get along, especially when it comes to their son.

How It Could Backfire
There’s also a chance this relationship could backfire quickly. One of them could catch feelings. Having a relationship with no strings can complicate matters. What happens if one of them wants to date somebody else? Who will be the first one to stray? This could mess up their living arrangement.
Their happy family could fall apart because they didn’t want to commit. Adam and Chelsea will have to meet somewhere in the middle. They might have to address what direction this relationship should go. If they don’t want strings attached, they will have to set some ground rules, such as dating outside the relationship. Does this mean they’re in an open relationship? It can’t last if they can’t figure it out.
