The Young and the Restless, January 20, hinted about the next step for Adam and Chelsea. The two are navigating chaos with the loss of Newman Enterprises. But this soap desperately needs some happy endings, and ‘Chadam’ could be one of them.

Key Takeaways

  • Adam has proved to Chelsea that he’s changed.
  • Chelsea is proud of him and is more in love with him than ever before.
  • Nikki asked Chelsea what their future holds.

Dealing With the Fallout

The Newmans are scrambling in the wake of Newman Enterprises’ collapse. Cane (Billy Flynn) turned the AI program on its host. Victor (Eric Braeden) and his family lost the empire they built.

It’s now in Cane’s and Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) hands. On Tuesday’s episode, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan, who heightened the drama) and Adam (Mark Grossman) were preparing for battle. They’re not afraid to confront the gruesome twosome and strike back.

They’re going to do whatever it takes to restore the Newman legacy. The family could end up preparing for a big wedding sometime this year. Before planning with Adam, Chelsea spoke with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about their relationship.

Chelsea Secures Her Place in the Family

At the Newman Ranch, Chelsea worked on her laptop. She thanked Nikki for allowing her to work there. She was working hard to protect Newman Enterprises and the Chancellor.

Nikki shifted the conversation by saying she’s happy to have Chelsea by their side, as part of the family. Chelsea warned that Cane’s no match for them. They’ll fight back even harder.

Nikki could see why Chelsea blends in well with their family. She’s conniving and sneaky like them. But Chelsea isn’t used to getting praise from Nikki.

Is a ‘Chadam’ Wedding in the Works?

Chelsea told Nikki that she’s happy with where they’re at. They’ve both worked on themselves. Nikki wondered if this meant they were taking their relationship to the “next level.”

The Newmans have gone through a lot in the past year. They faced a major corporate crisis involving Case Ashby, who turned out to be Aristotle Dumas. In the meantime, Sharon (Sharon Case) has been dealing with her share of trauma and turmoil, much to the chagrin of fans.

Recently, the Newmans have pushed for Chelsea to be part of the family. Chelsea used to be repulsed at the idea of a reunion with Adam until recently. They have both grown, and while they’re not perfect, they work well together. After all, the Newmans could use some happy news to look forward to.
