When it comes to The Young and the Restless, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of Y&R’s week that was.
And just like that, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is given a slap on the wrist and sent on her merry way. And while the outcome left much to be desired and made a complete and utter mockery of the justice system, it at least provided a definite — and decidedly anti-climactic — end to an ill-conceived storyline that was obviously launched without a definitive conclusion in mind. And for that, I thank Josh Griffith.
* Here’s my dream scenario: Billy (Jason Thompson) is actually playing EVERYONE and he’s got his eye on the prize which is the sole CEOship of Jabot.
* So, as long as it behooves the Young and the Restless writers, Audra is a poised and calculating corporate shark, but when it doesn’t, she’s a sloppy fixer who overplays her hand? Pfft. And here’s me looking for consistency in character.
* This week Summer (Allison Lanier) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) declared themselves through with their mother, and they swore they mean it this time…therefore I expect rapprochement by the end of next week.
* While I appreciated the rolling out of a brand-new set for the scenes set within the judge’s chamber, would it kill the designers to throw together a few interchangeable offices for all the employed folk? Sharon (Sharon Case), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Nick (Joshua Morrow) shouldn’t be discussing big business in a booth a Crimson Lights or at a table at Society. Likewise, Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Heather (Vail Bloom) shouldn’t have to discuss plea bargains at the GCAC.
