Charge! Should Lily Be Arrested For Running The Red on The Young and the Restless?

 Comments

There’s no getting around it now. Lily killed Hilary on The Young and the Restless (YR).

Despite Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) best efforts, Shauna (Camryn Hamm) spilled about what she and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) saw: Lily (Christel Khalil) ran a red light and that resulted in them getting hit by a truck… and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) dying.

Devon (Bryton James) told his sister to turn herself in – or he would do it for her. Should she?

Then, should Paul (Doug Davidson) throw the book at her? Here’s how over 4,000 make-shift jurors voted.

Was this supposed to be a stumper, 61% of you wonder? Lily’s actions got a woman killed. That’s kind of against the law.

Granted, maybe not in Genoa City, considering that Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Sharon (Sharon Case) are still walking around free. But we digress.

Devon is absolutely right. His sister needs to be punished. Now, yes, it was an accident, but they have a category for that. It’s called manslaughter. And it’s what Lily did.

What do you think? Post a comment!

If she were Victor (Eric Braeden), of course, she could skate… But, Lily isn’t Victor.

Premeditated
Lily didn’t mean to kill Hilary, 38% counter. She was upset. That’s called extenuating circumstances. Lily told Hilary and Devon she didn’t want Charlie and Shauna being left alone at their house. Hilary left Charlie and Shauna alone at their house.

No one is saying Hilary deserved to die (for this anyway, some of her other crimes… ). Lily had a right to be mad, and she had the right to yell at her.

Paul will understand that she’s no killer. This is a family tragedy and charging Lily will only make things worse, not to mention not bring Hilary and her unborn child back.
