The end is near for Hilary and Devon on The Young and the Restless, so Mishael Morgan and Bryton James took part in a special farewell chat with their fans.
The two actors looked back clips of their work together including their first scene which occurred in Crimson Lights.
In it, ironically, Hilary mentions GC Buzz in her first encounter with Devon long before he ever bought the tabloid magazine show and Hilary went to work there.
If you think James looks a bit more buff in this scene, you’re correct! The actor said he was working out a bit more so he could wear more some of the tight shirts wardrobe had been selecting for him!
James added that he had no idea the show was planning on setting him and Morgan up together, but as you can see the couple’s chemistry was evident from the beginning.

Another clip shows the lovebirds in a hotel bed only to be interrupted by a knock on the door — and it’s not room service! It’s Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Cane (Daniel Goddard)!
Additionally, Devon and Hilary’s first wedding was shown. And there’s a reason her beautiful bouquet looks especially large. The ceremony was shot nine days before Morgan gave birth in real-life!
“I just want to thank the fans who have supported me on this incredible and epic journey on Y&R,” added Morgan, who turned to her James and said, “And I want to thank you for being the best co-star, leading man that a girl can have. This has been the journey of a lifetime.”
