CBS Daytime has joined celebrities and other public figures who are speaking out as the number of cases of hate crimes against Asian-Americans continues to rise.

CBS Daytime Speaks Out

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful added supportive posts on behalf of CBS Daytime for the Asian community, tagging “#StopAAPIHate and using the following network message: “We continue to stand united against racism, hatred, violence, and the recent rise of attacks against the Asian American & Pacific Islander Community.”

Actress Tina Huang recurs on not one but two daytime dramas. On The Bold and the Beautiful she plays Dr. Campbell, Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doctor and on Days of our Lives, she’s district attorney Melinda Trask. Huang shared a message originally posted by Asian Americans Now.

“The talk has been inspiring—but talk is also cheap,” the post read. “Last week, @GoldHouseCo collaborated with @CAPEUSA to curate the most measurably impactful and sustainable community organizations that’ve been doing work to restore equity and safety in our communities. Today, we’re proud to collaborate with @GoFundMe, the world’s largest donor platform, as well as a legion of top API cultural leaders who are devoted to putting our money where our mouths are. At gofundme.com/AAPI, you can find all of our curated local community organizations, victim relief funds, and uplifting neighborhood campaigns.”

“Heartbreaking and maddening at the same time,” shared Chrishell Stause (ex-Bethany, The Young and the Restless; also ex-Jordan, DAYS) on Instagram. “I have a link in my bio and another helpful one in my stories if, like me, these attacks left you wondering what you can do to help #stopasianhate 💔 Click the links and let’s do all we can.

“And specifically to anyone reading this that holds any hate in your heart towards people that are different than you, in race, religion, sexuality etc. PLEASE educate yourself,” Stause implores. “Get a therapist. Work it out. Do whatever you can to be a good person on the right side of history. Because history is going to keep repeating itself unless we all grow the [expletive] up. Ok rant over. Sending so much love to the Asian community currently being attacked 🖤😔.”
