8. She is Fluent in 4 Languages

Pernas has a knack for picking up foreign languages. According to her resume, she can speak in English, Spanish, Arabic, and German. This well-roundedness gives her an upper hand when looking for new roles in television and movies.

When she’s not on set playing Marisa on Y&R, Pernas loves to keep herself moving. Her hobbies include rollerblading, tennis, and even martial arts.

Her first film job came in 2011 with the movie Age of the Dragons playing the role of Rachel. Her second movie, Underground, was filmed later that year. She then had roles in two other 2014 films–Operation Rogue and Indigenous. 

5. Her Boyfriend is Christian Kane

Pernas has been dating Christian Kane since 2011. Kane, 41, an accomplished actor and singer, has starred in over 35 movies and TV shows. His musical career garnered him three studio albums and credits on three soundtracks, including the TV shows Leverage and Angel.

Pernas was featured in a two-part episode as Marine First Lieutenant, Gabriela Flores in 2003. The Marine Corp officer was taken hostage in an attack by insurgents while guarding an all girls school. Over the course of the two-part feature, her character was rescued by Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Ziva David.

Being able to speak in a convincing accent is never an easy task, but Pernas makes it look natural. She can fake 5 accents: Spanish, British, Middle Eastern, Southern, and Russian. With her exotic good looks, she can take on a multitude of characteristics and be cast in many roles.

Her newest movie venture, The Green Ghost, is currently in post-production. Getting top billing in the film, Pernas has taken on the role of Karina in the superhero film about The Green Ghost saving the world from an Aztec Apocolypse. No release date has been announced as of August, 2015.

Taking on the role of the sexy Marisa Sierras is a big step for Pernas and she’s kept viewers on their toes. Her acting is so good, you would never know she’s a rookie in the soap world. Already popular on The Young and The Restless, fans are hoping she will land a contract role.
