[dropcap]J[/dropcap]oshua Morrow has been a key member of The Young and the Restless since his start as Nick Newman in the mid-90s.

On screen, he’s played an amazing husband, a scorned lover, a cheater, a devoted father, and heartbroken dad. He’s gone up against Victor, found his own life and is the center of wonderful storylines. Off screen, he’s an even more amazing guy than anyone could ever imagine. Here are 10 things you may not have know Joshua Morrow.

10. His Early Years
On February 8, 1974, Morrow was born in Juneau, Alaska, where his Coast Guard dad was stationed. When his parents divorced Josh and his sister, Jamie, lived with their father until his senior year of high school.

9. He’s Educated
Morrow attended Moorpark College in California straight after high school. While his dream was acting and he minored in theater, he went more formal with his major. A degree in communications backs up his acting career and may have helped him become one of Y&R’s greatest stars.

8. He Has A Mean Poker Face
To benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Morrow dons his best poker face and card-shark skills. He’s proven himself to be quite the competition while playing in many World Poker Tours for the Hollywood Home Games.

7. He’s an Amazing Dad
Having four children and a busy soap career can’t be easy, but Morrow makes it look like a piece of cake. His boys Cooper, Crew, and Cash, as well as his daughter, Charlie, are regularly the stars on his Twitter and Facebook feeds.

6. He’s a Sports Nut
From basketball to race car driving, Morrow loves almost all sports. He’s always willing to help out in the name of charity and join in the fun. The athletic dad may not go pro, but he knows how to handle himself on the field (or racetrack). Some fans say that nothing is sexier than watching a sweaty Morrow rule a basketball court.

1. Y&R Is His First and Only Soap
While Morrow originally auditioned for The Bold and the Beautiful, the producers thought he’d be way better as Nicolas Newman on Y&R. His sexy good looks, stunning personality, and overall attitude have made him perfect as the son of business tycoon, Victor. Morrow has been on the show since 1994 when Nick came down with a case SORAS. No fan anywhere can even imagine anyone else as the oldest Newman son.
