Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson came back to The Young and the Restless for the launch of Chancellor-Winters business interests. But she stuck around to make a new friend. Or, at least, to feel out a potential rival.

Jill (Jess Walton) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) had a prickly conversation, which eventually seemed to turn into a wary truce. Should these two become pals?
Y&R: Stay Out
Jill does not want to find herself stuck between Diane…and the rest of Genoa City, most especially Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis is completely unhinged and is liable to lose it over anyone saying a vaguely not hateful thing about Diane.
Meanwhile, Jack still isn’t sure where he and Diane stand, and having her become friendly with Jill would only pull Jack’s one-time stepmother/lover into the crossfire. A majority 79% of you are concerned about Jill, and think she’s better off keeping her distance from the entire situation.

Young and the Restless: Keep ‘Em Busy
Then again, 13% think becoming Diane’s partner in crime could be a great opportunity to see more of Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) mother, and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) grandmother. Jill’s been missed in Genoa City, and if the show doesn’t want to put her in a romance — with a guy who is maybe not a con artist, this time — then a new friend will just have to do!
Y&R: Takes One To Know One
Jill is very familiar with being the town outcast, 8% remind, which makes her the perfect person to listen to Diane’s side of things. It’s not like Diane did anything which Jill hadn’t done back in her heyday. This pair hanging out together could be good for both. Diane would get a mentor…and Jill would get someone she could teach to avoid her mistakes…and really take the town by storm!
