Stressed to the Max! Could Jack Go Off The Deep End on Y&R?!

Jack Abbott has been under a lot of stress on The Young and the Restless (YR). Is he going to crack under the pressure? Who could blame him if he did!

It’s one thing to have one crisis going on in your life, but Jack (Peter Bergman) has got a LOT going on. Soap Hub asked Y&R fans if they think he’s going to succumb to his stresses. Read on for the results!

Too Late
The majority of you, nearly 80%, think that Jack’s already broken down over the pressures in his life. That’s understandable. He’s facing the reality that his mother, Dina (Marla Adams), has Alzheimer’s — a condition for which there is currently no cure.

In addition to caring for her, Jack’s battling his sister, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), for control of Jabot. Jack cares about his sister, but he can understand why she might not believe him as things have become so antagonistic. Currently, Jack’s also estranged from his son, Kyle (last played by Lachlan Buchanan), who voted against him at Jabot. Ouch.

The rest of you, just over 20%, think that Jack will be able to keep from falling too far.

Viewers know that traditionally Jack is two steps ahead of everyone else. Jack’s a strong guy and he knows how to prioritize.

Both he and Ashley put their battle for Jabot aside when their mother needed them. Time will tell if Jack pulls a fast one and gets what he wants once the drama with Dina gets under control.

Family First
At the end of the day, Jack’s going to put his family first. He’s taken on more of a patriarchal role since his father John (Jerry Douglas) died. The Abbotts will always remain united against an outside force.

Since we know Jack’s not going to fall too far, it’d be nice to see the Abbotts unite against a foe as they did with Graham (Max Shippee). Stay tuned!
