DUI UPDATE: Jensen Buchanan Jailed Again For Alcohol Consumption

 Comments

Soap opera veteran Jensen Buchanan has been arrested once again after a home monitoring system found she consumed alcohol, a violation of her probation sentence, according to Noozhawk.

Buchanan was initially arrested following a car crash on May 18, 2016 when she was found to be driving with four times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. A man was critically injured in the crash and has still not fully recovered.

The actress, who got her start as Sarah Gordon on One Life to Live, and went on to play Vicky and Marley on Another World and As the World Turns, most recently appeared as Judge Elise Moxley on The Young and the Restless.

She plead guilty in October of last year and was sentenced to one year in Santa Barbara County Jail, and five years probation. However, the jail time was suspended and she’s been out of custody wearing an alcohol monitoring device.

The judge gave this warning at sentencing, with conditions that she not drink alcohol:

“Should Ms. Buchanan violate the terms and conditions of her probation, every day of that six-year prison sentence is right there, and I would not hesitate to impose it.”

The electronic monitoring device allegedly registered that Buchanan drank between December 29 and January 11. On January 12, she was sent to the Ventura County Jail, but records indicate she was in Santa Barbara County Jail as of January 17.

Soap Hub will update more on Buchanan’s status as we know more.
