Adrienne Frantz Remembers Her First Soap (Not Sunset Beach)

There was big news announced on Thursday when it was revealed that All My Children would be returning to the airwaves — but on primetime. The new version will be called Pine Valley, and former co-stars Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley Vaughan) and Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos), who met and fell in love on the ABC soap, would be producing it. But that wasn’t the only shocker — Adrienne Frantz revealed she was once on the show!

Adrienne Frantz Reveals All My Children Past

When looking back at the beloved soap star’s daytime past, her time as Amber Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless is of course legendary. Longtime fans even know she was on the Aaron Spelling offering, Sunset Beach, as well. But after the AMC news hit, the actress shared her own Pine Valley past in a tweet announcing the news.

“My first soap opera job was on @allmychildren,” she revealed. “I was 16 and in a storyline with @KellyRipa I played a young girl in an abortion clinic that she talked out of getting an abortion. Funny I was just thinking about that today and then I saw this! #soaps #Abc”

That is quite a blast from soap operas past, as it was probably around 1994 that this took place. Frantz’s IMDB entry doesn’t start until her 1997 entry as Tiffany on Sunset Beach. Pine Valley was certainly an exciting place to be around that time.

Frantz certainly knows how to bring the excitement, which she has done aplenty as Amber — both in Genoa City and in Los Angeles. In fact, both locales could use a dose of Amber right about now to spice things up. The actress has certainly been busy raising her two children but might she be ready to return to soaps (which are very friendly work environments for moms)?

That remains to be seen but it’s certainly something that fans of both shows would welcome with open arms. Guess we’ll have to just stay tuned to see if a soapy return for Adrienne Frantz is in the cards.
