The Young and The Restless (YR) fans have slowly been learning about the character and what makes him tick. But what about the handsome actor who portrays him?
Here are seven things to know about Daniel Hall.
Music Man
The Norwalk, Connecticut, native comes from a musical family. By the time he was five, he began performing in concerts with his parents and older sister.
Metabolically Challenged
The actor claims to have a high metabolism. How high? He has to eat close to 3,500 calories a day. To keep his weight up, he eats peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in between meals.
Walk the Walk
Hall is all about working out. He lifts weights, jumps rope, boxes, rides a stationary bike and hikes, too. Some of his favorite trails are in Griffith Park.
Co-star Tracey Bregman (Lauren) recently took him on one of her favorite hikes in Malibu, and he shared a picture of the two of them on Instagram.
Stage Presence
He shared the stage with Ruby Dee, while studying theatre at the University of Michigan. Hall starred opposite the acclaimed actress in a production of The Bridge Party.
British Connection
Hall spent a semester abroad at the Globe Theatre in London. While there he studied with Oscar-winning English actor, director, and playwright Mark Rylance.
Edgy (Soap) Past
He made his daytime debut portraying Jack/Jake on Guiding Light. The recurring character was a miscreant who was into drugs and picking pockets.
Man with a Cause
Hall is active in charities, among them, The Art of Elysium which was founded by James Franco (ex-Franco, General Hospital). It empowers adults and kids to find hope and empowerment through artistic expression.
