Bill Spencer, Jr. on The Bold and the Beautiful is not just a powerful character because of his business acumen but also because of his physical presence. His portrayer, Don Diamont, stays fit in order to make sure Bill is a force to be reckoned with!
Diamont has been using the social media platform Instagram to post fitness tips and photos using the hashtag #WorkoutWednesday. “Let’s go #workoutwednesday 2022,” Diamont posted along with a shirtless photo of him boxing. “Hope you guys ended 2021 strong and are taking care of yourselves in all aspects of your lives to start off the new year. It’s not always easy. That self doubt creeps in. Don’t be hard on yourselves. Just try to be the best YOU, you can be. Whatever the challenges…, and they’ll always be challenges, KEEP FIGHTING! Doing a little of something, it’s better than doing a lot of nothing.”
Boxing isn’t new to Diamont. Last year, he posted another photo of himself boxing along with words of encouragement. “Well sure….I mean it’s not likely that the bag is going to hit me back, but I’m just going to assume it can,” wrote Diamont, who joined the cast of B&B as Bill Spencer in 2008. Diamont wrote. “Better safe than sorry. Keep your eyes and hands up ahead of this Workout Wednesday! Protect yourself, and that money maker at all times! I hope you guys are doing something to get that blood flowing. Stay fit! Stay healthy! Doing a little something…,is better than doing a lot of nothing!”
More recently, Diamont shared photos of himself working on his biceps. “Moving in on the end of the year this #workoutwednesday!” Diamont posted on Instagram. “Got it done early this morning. Hope all of you guys are doing something to take care of yourselves. Try to close out the year strong! Doing a little something is better than doing a lot of nothing!!! GO GET IT!!!”
In another post from last year, Diamont drew on the words of a late famous martial arts icon for inspiration. “Who better to quote at the end of this #workoutwednesday [than] The One And Only, Bruce Lee: ‘Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves,'” Diamont shares.
“‘Emptiness [is] the starting point — in order to taste my cup of water you must first empty your cup,'” write Diamont further quoting Lee. “‘My friend, drop all your preconceived and fixed ideas and be neutral. Do you know why this cup is useful? Because it is empty. Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.'”
