Shauna, Ridge, Brooke The Bold and the Beautiful
Brooke Logan has had to face many rivals to win Ridge’s heart over the years on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, she’s encountering one who’s got her number — and may get her husband, too!
Shauna (Denise Richards) has been on the canvas a little less than a year yet she’s already got Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) history down and she feels that Brooke’s in no position to cast stones when it comes to going after men!
Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) recently shared his thoughts on Shauna and how she and Brooke herself may cause irreparable harm to the Bridge marriage.
“Brooke hasn’t been paying attention to Ridge and she’s been pushing him away,” Kaye recently told TV Insider. “Ridge likes having someone to talk to. Right now, that’s Shauna.” Shauna and Ridge’s encounter at Bikini resulted in Flo’s (Katrina Bowden) mom taking off Ridge’s pants and putting him to bed.
“Nothing really happened, but appearances mean a lot. Brooke felt that this was something that never should have happened! It didn’t mean anything until Brooke made it mean something,” Kaye said.
Arguably, the bigger issue is Brooke and Ridge arguing over his son Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), who has an unhealthy obsession with Hope (Annika Noelle). Ridge wants to give him another chance. Brooke wants him as far away from the family as possible. “Their main issue is Thomas,” Kaye points out. “If Brooke is Ridge’s partner for life, she should understand what Thomas means to Ridge.”
While fans are pointing out online that Ridge spent plenty of years raising his son, Thomas is playing the guilt game, occasionally reminding his dad that he chose Brooke and her family over his mother, Taylor (Hunter Tylo), and hers.
“Guilt is a great engine,” Kaye noted. “It’s kept Ridge going in support of his son in some ways. If Thomas is a little screwed up, Ridge feels he has to take some responsibility for that.”
