On Tuesday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Thorne theorized to Ridge that people, maybe even the cops, will have questions about how Bill fell off his balcony. The answers to those questions could send Ridge to jail!
While we didn’t see Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) push Bill (Don Diamont) with our own eyes, it’s pretty clear what happened. The two men were struggling and Bill ended up splat on the grass, two stories below. And, Ridge looked pretty pleased with himself afterward.
Bill’s been known to lie to the police before about Ridge attacking him. (The publishing magnate falsely accused the designer of shooting him earlier this year.) However, Ridge could face dire consequences over what happened this time. He could even go to jail.
The timing of this development on-air comes around the 5th anniversary of Kaye taking over the role of Ridge from the wildly popular Ronn Moss, who played the part for 25 years.
Has B&B set up the possibility of Ridge going to jail as a way to get the character off the canvas in case Kaye, if he is indeed up for a new deal, is finishing up his current contract and may not want to stay?
Or, is it a re-negotiation tactic on the show’s part to play hardball? (The show would have an easy out if Kaye didn’t sign a new deal; Ridge would just go off to prison!)
To be clear, Soap Hub hasn’t heard if Kaye is up for renewal, however, the timing of his anniversary with B&B and Ridge being in jeopardy with the law seems curious! But remember, this is just a wild speculation.
Stay tuned to see if Ridge faces charges for Bill’s fall and if he ends up going to jail as a result!
