Denise Richards is going to have even more time to steam up the screen as saucy Shauna on The Bold and the Beautiful now that she’s left her other high profile gig on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The star recently went on The Real to talk about her decision with the show’s hosts.
Denise Richards OUT At RHOBH
The BB star talked to The Real Hosts Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and the show’s newest host, Gracelle Beauvais, who is also a cast member of the RHOBH.
“It was actually a tough decision,” Richards shared with the panelists. “I’ve been a fan of the show. I had a lot of fun doing my first season. My second [season] was really challenging. At the end of the day, I decided it was time for me to move on and focus on other projects I have, but I’m glad that I did it.”
Is Richards the only cast member leaving the reality series? Beauvais had said in the past that she would leave the show if her pal Richards did. “I did say that and you know I had a really great time doing the show,” Beauvais says. “It’s up to Bravo, but I’m definitely up for next season.”
Richards says that she had a great relationship with Beauvais on the series. “I had a lot of fun moments [with Garcelle],” the ex-James Bond girl says. “A lot of these dinners [we have on the show] go sideways quickly and Garcelle and I would have these conversations that no one else would pay attention [to]. They were too busy talking about themselves… yeah, we had a lot of side conversations.”
In fact, it’s safe to say that Richards is going to miss Beauvais as much as Dorothy missed the Scarecrow after her sojourn in Oz came to an end. “It almost makes me want to cry,” Denise Richards said of not seeing her friend as much anymore. “I truly could not have gotten through this season without you. [Garcelle] is a ‘girl’s girl.’ Her loyalty is beyond… I could not have gotten through this season without you.”
Beauvais is thrilled to be a part of the Daytime Emmy-winning show, The Real. “Oh my God,” she shared on air. “Well, first of all, I want to say, I am beyond excited to be with you guys. I’m a mom, I’m an actress, I’m a host. I’ve done a bunch of different things, but what I’m really happy about – now more than ever, we need our sisterhood. We need our sisterhood, we want to support each other, uplift each other, have amazing conversations. Even if we disagree, we’re gonna disagree respectfully, and I am thrilled for the opportunity.”
