Why The Bold and the Beautiful’s Bill Spencer Is Daytime’s Most Despicable Man

The Bold and the Beautiful publishing magnate Bill Spencer has taken vileness to a new level and emerged as daytime’s most despicable character.

Consumed with money, power, and above all, getting what he wants, Bill (Don Diamont) has proven he’ll resort to whatever means necessary to achieve his goals.

Blackmail? Check. Bribery? Check. Calculated manipulation? Check. It’s gotten to the point where he makes The Young and the Restless’ Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) look like a choir boy. Well, almost.

Daddy Not So Dearest
Is there a father in all of daytime who uses and abuses his sons as much as Dollar Bill? Knowing how much Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) want a connection with their dad, Bill constantly takes advantage of their love and loyalty.

Since both sons are honest, caring and above board, they’re easy prey for the unscrupulous Bill. Meanwhile, Bill never shows any signs of regret, and it’s downright deplorable.

Sons and Anarchy
Bill had sex with Liam’s wife Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) after the couple had a spat, causing an irreparable rift between father and son.

But, when Bill turned up shot and Liam wrongly believed he pulled the trigger, Bill forgave him and kept mum. In the process, Liam was suddenly under his thumb, again.

Meanwhile, Wyatt became Bill’s pawn in his relentless pursuit to make Steffy his own, when Bill orchestrated a secret rendezvous that never happened and arranged for Wyatt to “witness” it.

Then, Bill prodded Wyatt to tell Liam about it. A duped Wyatt obliged, and Liam decided to end his marriage. Did Bill give any thought to the horrible position he’d put Wyatt in or that it was all a big fat lie? Absolutely not.

Steffy Obsession
While Bill professes to love Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), the woman currently at the root of his abominable actions, his behavior has been anything but kind, let alone loving.

He’s harassed her throughout her pregnancy and separated Steffy and baby daddy Liam during what should have been a special bonding time for the expectant parents.

On top of that, he pressured Steffy to sign annulment papers in exchange for not revealing her mother, Taylor (Hunter Tylo), was his real shooter.

The man’s a sociopath with no redeeming qualities. The sooner Wyatt, Liam and Steffy eliminate Bill from their lives the better. They deserve to be rid of him, and Bill deserves to be all by his lonesome self.

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
