Eric’s incapacitated after suffering a brain hemorrhage on The Bold and the Beautiful, leaving Ridge desperate for the power of attorney that his father signed over to his new wife, Quinn.

For years, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) was the person Eric (John McCook) wanted to make decisions in the event anything happened to him. So, he designated his son as his power of attorney. But, when Ridge refused to accept Quinn into the fold, a hurt and frustrated Eric retaliated. He named his new wife as the person to act on his behalf in private affairs, as well as business and legal matters.

A Wife’s Right
Eric’s wife, Quinn (Rena Sofer), most definitely should have her husband’s POA, according to 70% of fans. While she may have had a treacherous past, she’s changed since falling for Eric and is completely devoted to him. No one will do a better job of representing him than Quinn.

A Son’s Right
Some 18% of fans don’t feel Quinn has been in Eric’s life long enough to have his POA. That’s why you cast your vote for Ridge. He’s the one who has looked out for his father for decades, and he should be the one making decisions for him now.

Hard to Choose
Choosing between Eric’s wife and his son is too hard for the remaining 12% of you. While it makes sense that Quinn have her husband’s POA, you can see the case for Ridge, too. Regardless, you believe Eric is in good hands. They both love him and will do right by him.
